The Jizera Mountains are not an ordinary mountain range. With their vast forests, the harsh, yet picturesque nature and the landscape diversity, they can conquer their visitors, many of whom are returning here. Due to their natural value, at the turn of the years 1967-1968 they were declared a protected landscape area. Nowadays the Jizerské Mountains are interwoven with a dense network of marked hiking trails, and everybody comes to their own. In the summer, mainly cyclists are crossing the main routes, cross-country skiers in winter, but marked trails can also be found by wheelchairs. Hiking tourists who seek unobstructed peace can go to less visited places. Here, still, the famous Jizera silence is still here.
Ski resorts Tanvaldský Špičák, Severák and Bedřichov offer 18 km of ski slopes, 21 ski lifts, 1 cableway and 3 movable carpets within the Jizera Mountains. Pension Vila Vilekula is located directly in the Severák area, about 50 m from the ski lift Loučky. The resort is especially suitable for families with children, schools and beginners skiers and snowboarders.
Jizerská magistrála is one of the most visited ski resorts in the Czech Republic. At present the length of the Jizerská magistrála is 180 km. There are 23 starting points on the routes, the nearest to Vila Vilekula is the starting point for Kaplička, about 500 m.

Saphir Creek is the right-hand tributary of Jizerka in the upper part of Jizerka. From the 16th century, this site was a renowned site of precious stones that were found in the creek
The Blatný Pond Water Reservoir is situated on the Blatný Potok in a blue marked path from the New Meadow to Kristiánov.
The Královka tower (Königshöhe) is one of the most famous stone lookout tower in the Jizera Mountains on Nekras Hill (859 m). The total height of Královka lookout tower is 24 meters, the viewing platform is 20.5 meters high, it leads to 102 stairs and the lookout tower is accessible all year round.
Štěpánka tower is a slender eight-stoned stone Neogotic lookout tower and is often called the Queen of the Jizera.
Bramberk - the original wooden tower has been on the Lučany valley since 1889 (787 m above sea level).
Slovanka tower - In 1887, the Jablonec, Genoa and Upper-Horn sections of the German Mountain Society opened on one of the peaks of the Maxovský Ridge (820 m) tower.
The museum is located in the picturesque landscape of the Jizera Mountains in Jiřetín pod Bukovou. The production of traditional wooden toys in the area dates back to 1908 and since then, production has continued without interruption.
